From 27 to 31 January 2026, the last Casting phase will be held for “Dreaming San Marino Song Contest”, the first step dedicated to emerging artists towards the final of the “San Marino Song Contest”, which in turn decrees the representative of the Republic of San Marino for the Eurovision Song Contest. At the moment, over 800 registrations have been registered from 40 countries around the world. Thousands of people are expected in San Marino. In previous editions of the contest, emerging bands such as Piqued Jacks and Megara, who represented the Republic of San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest, have triumphed.
A Voice for San Marino consolidates itself as a reference point in the international music scene, recording extraordinary numbers for this new edition: they are already over 800 registered artists, representing as many 40 nations.
The success of the competition is evidenced by a global participation from the’Afghanistan and crosses Europe with Albania, Austria, Belgium And Estonia. The appeal of the event also reached the Bahrain, the Canada and the Ivory Coast, involving talent from Philippines, France, Germany and the small island of Grenada.
The musical journey continues, touching on Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lebanon And Luxembourg, extending as far as Mexico and Northern European countries such as Norway And Sweden. To these are added The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal And Puerto Rico.
Finally, the membership picture is completed with the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, the Romania and a large delegation from the Balkan and Mediterranean area including San Marino, Serbia, Slovenia And Spain, as well as United States, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey And Ukraine.
Over the years, the contest has been able to transform emerging artists into international representatives of the Republic of San Marino, as demonstrated by the experiences of the Piqued Jacks and the Megara. A path that continues to enhance San Marino and global artistic talent through a rigorous and formative selection.
The last casting session will take place at the San Marino Outlet Experience from 27 to 31 January 2026.
To participate in the “Dreaming San Marino Song Contest”, artists must be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2025, may participate as individuals or in groups. Registration is free of charge for the online eligibility check, which consists of assessing the competitors' interpretative and performing skills. It will be possible to register until 20 January 2026.

After the “Casting” phase”, Contest selection process gets into full swing with the Internship & Live Academy (LA), an important preparation and evaluation phase that will start in the month of February 2026 the 13-14-15.
The Academy is aimed at preparing the participants for the crucial performance before the Jury of Experts. The entire programme will be divided into 8 sessions (LA), each consisting of approximately 30 competitors.
The aim is to select the best: from each of the 8 sessions, 5 competitors will obtain a pass for the semifinals. This will result in a total of 40 artists admitted to the two Semifinals (20 for each Semifinal).
The detailed calendar of all sessions will be decided by Media Evolution (ME) and will be promptly communicated to competitors by publication in the Official website of the “Dreaming San Marino Song Contest”, in the dedicated “Stage & Live Academy” section.
The San Marino Song Contest unveils the novelties of its new edition.Two semi-finals live on San Marino RTV channel 550, each with 20 contestants from the “Dreaming San Marino Song Contest”, and the grand final scheduled for March 2026, also live on San Marino RTV with 10 emerging finalists and 10 big contestants.
Denny Montesi, sole director of Media Evolution, has been appointed Head of Delegation for the Eurovision Song Contest. He will be joined by Valentina Monetta, a San Marino artist who has represented San Marino at Eurovision four times, as Ambassador. The couple will be responsible for leading the San Marino delegation at the Eurovision Song Contest and promoting the artistic talent of the Republic of San Marino at an international level.
