Fabrizio Biggio and Melissa Greta Marchetto will be one of the new presenters of the final of the 3rd edition of “Dreaming San Marino Song Contest”, the festival that rewards participation in the next Eurovision Song Contest to be held from 7 to 11 May 2024 in Malmö, Sweden.

After Fiorello's initial spoiler on 25 January, it is official: Fabrizio Biggio, the face of Viva Rai 2 with Fiorello and Mauro Casciari and of I Soliti Idioti with Francesco Mandelli, and Melissa Greta Marchetto, radio presenter and speaker for Virgin Radio, are the new presenters for the final of the “Dreaming San Marino Song Contest” to be held on Saturday 24 February 2024 at 8.30 p.m. at the Teatro Nuovo Dogana and live on San Marino RTV (visible on SKY channels 520 and  93 of tivùsat, on DDT channel 831, streaming on www.sanmarinortv.sm) and will decide the winner who will represent the Republic of San Marino at the next Eurovision Song Contest to be held in MALMÖ, Sweden, from 7 to 11 May 2024.

The evening, organised by San Marino RTV and Media Evolution and broadcast live nationwide, will see eight Emerging artists and eight Big ones compete against each other. A qualified Jury will decide, on the basis of merit, freely and without any constraints, the winning Artist of “Una voce per San Marino”, with indication also of the 2nd and 3rd place.

Guest of honour for the evening will be Riccardo Cocciante.

Here are the artists in the “big” category admitted to the final:

Aaron Sibley

Aimie Atkinson

Jalisse

La Rua

Marcella Bella

Pago

Wlady, Corona, Ice Mc, Cameo: Dj Jad

Loredana Bertè

After the artist's statements in many interviews that if she won Sanremo she would gladly return to Sweden, we at UVPSM tried to contact her in the hope of a yes from her. Her successful participation in Sanremo and the thousands of reports from her fans and Eurovision fans that reached us convinced us to try. We are talking about Loredana Bertè. The intention to participate would be there, we are working out together with her staff whether the artist's many previous private and work commitments will allow her to be to all intents and purposes the eighth big in the competition. We will know in the coming days.

These are the “bigs” selected by Media Evolution with the strong collaboration of San Marino RTV and the Secretariat of State for Tourism of the Republic of San Marino. To these is added the ninth 'big' participant from the Casperaki Artificial Intelligence Contest, the hybrid music production platform based on algorithms and artificial intelligence that enables musicians to realise their potential. Founded by London-based entrepreneur Mathias Strasser, the platform helps creatives generate customisable, royalty-free first drafts of tracks that artists can shape into full songs. In autumn 2023, Casperaki launched a public call for song drafts to be submitted to “Dreaming San Marino Song Contest” using Casperaki's AI chatbots. The winning artist is Dana Gillespie, a British blues singer, who will sing “The Last Polar Bear”, a song addressing the pressing issue of environmental pollution. The song, initially created by Casperaki's AI music platform, was transformed by Dana Gillespie into a powerful environmental anthem, highlighting her commitment to global concerns through her art.

To complete the cast of artists who will perform during the final on Saturday 24 February 2024, another 7 “emerging” artists and one San Marino artist from the semi-finals that will be aired on San Marino RTV from Monday 19 to Friday 23 February at 9.40pm.
